Jakarta, December 2025 — The IFAR Consortium congratulates Rahardhika Utama, Ph.D. (Arryman Scholar 2014) on the successful launch of CORE (Collection of Oriented Research and Evidence for Solving Global Poverty), an innovative policy platform developed at the Center on Global Poverty at Johns Hopkins University.
CORE directly addresses a critical gap in global development: ensuring that rigorous academic research is translated into practical, usable evidence for policymakers and practitioners working to address poverty and inequality. The platform offers concise summaries of thousands of peer-reviewed studies, supported by interactive tools that allow users to quickly locate relevant findings across areas such as education, health, labor, governance, and inequality.
With global development shifting toward more equitable and evidence-driven approaches, CORE arrives at a pivotal moment—offering a bold and accessible solution for connecting research to action. “There’s more high-quality research on development than ever before, but the real challenge is getting it into the hands of those who can use it,” Rahardhika said. “CORE offers a practical and scalable way to bridge that gap.”
Rahardhika’s accomplishment underscores the importance of strengthening research-to-policy pathways—an effort central to IFAR’s mission. Rahardhika’s work demonstrates how Indonesian scholars can contribute meaningfully to global development efforts by producing tools that inform better, evidence-based decision-making.
