ISRSF and IFAR UI Discuss Key Updates for 2025 Work Plan Development

Jakarta, 30 September 2024 – The ISRSF (Indonesia Social Research and Study Foundation) and IFAR (Institute for Advanced Research) UI convened to discuss significant updates and strategies for their 2025 work plan. The meeting focused on upcoming program initiatives, additional funding opportunities, and plans to enhance research output and academic collaborations. The discussions also set a clear path for deepening partnerships between scholars and institutions.

During the meeting, ISRSF, through the IFAR Consortium, reaffirmed its commitment to providing administrative and communications support for IFAR UI's upcoming initiatives. This backing will be instrumental as IFAR UI continues to advance its academic programs and increase research output.

Key programming ideas were discussed, including initiatives aimed at helping scholars publish their research and expand their academic presence. Workshops and seminars will be organized to assist scholars in publishing books with international publishers, featuring potential speakers from renowned publishing houses. It was emphasized that a dissertation is not an endpoint, but a foundation for further academic contributions.

In addition, IFAR scholars will be encouraged to present their research at international conferences, with the Consortium playing a critical role in facilitating these opportunities.

A lecture series addressing current academic themes is also under consideration, intending to broaden the engagement of the wider scholarly community beyond the Arryman scholars.

The meeting outlined a clear course of action, demonstrating ISRSF and IFAR UI’s shared commitment to fostering academic growth and supporting scholars in pursuing international research excellence.

Established by ISRSF in 2021, the IFAR Consortium supports emerging research-oriented universities in Indonesia in achieving the highest standards of research, publications, and teaching in the social sciences and public policy. Consortium members include universities that have founded an Institute for Advanced Research (IFAR) on their campuses, such as IFAR UI.
